Multi-Level Marketing, MLM, is an online marketing business model that has been raging in popularity for years. The basic concept of MLM, or multi-level marketing, is you sign-up with a company to be an affiliate for their products, or services. Commissions are made each time you make a sale. One additional aspect is you're expected to bring others into the business as affiliates, and they become your team members, or downline.

All you have to do is get others to check it out and join, then they make some sales and you earn commissions. There's no such beast as an easy business that does not require work. If you're never been involved with a multi-level marketing business, there's a whole lot more to it than meets they eye. However, if you can do what you need to do to be a success in business, you can be a success in multi-level marketing. MLM is one of the more popular business models for internet marketers to follow.

Most internet marketers assume that prospects will contact them again. In multi level marketing the ball is always in your court. Follow up to make sales! You know those free product samples... when you hand them out, people will generally thank you, and that will be it. It's possible that people will think well about you, but these free samples in no way will ever guarantee a sale. Be wise with who you give them to. You want those free samples to be what knocks them over the line from a maybe to a yes. If you offer the sample too soon, your prospect will simply walk away with it. Pay close attention to those with 'yes' on the tips of their tongues. You can manage your money and avoid handing them all out too fast.

An inherent aspect to MLM is getting rejected by both potential buyers as well as people you're trying to recruit. If you're more of a sensitive person who has difficulty with rejection, then you can either work on overcoming it, or perhaps avoid getting involved with MLM.
